A leading shoulder surgeon and the director of orthopedic research for a respected medical institution founded SensorTherapeutics® to develop a wearable surface electromyography monitor.
Following years of experimentation, a first-generation device was developed, produced, and evaluated in an NIH SBIR Phase I funded clinical study. After demonstrating equivalent performance to the current standard of care, the Company was awarded a $1.9M Phase II grant to commercialize a second-generation product currently in development.
